The 'allAgents Transparent Agent' Profile Scheme

It is all very easy for Property agents to publish glowing testimonials on their websites and at the same time hide any unfavourable critiques. While directly influencing what prospective customers can find and read about a company is a widely used practice, in principle companies and individuals are clearly not being open with consumers. In a world of instant communication and social networking (where even the police and politicians cannot escape scrutiny shared over the internet), Estate and Lettings Agents are under increasing pressure to come clean or be cleaned.

allAgents have introduced a scheme to help identify companies who have openness and customer care at the forefront of their policies and practices.

'The allAgents Transparent Agent Scheme'

This is a voluntary and FREE scheme for any agent to sign up to. In order to qualify, the Agent MUST AGREE TO:

• Place our allAgents banner in a prominent position on all pages of their website (in the header of each page)
• Place two small text links in the footer of all their pages
• Provide a transparent agent information brochure to each prospective new client at the initial introduction or
      valuation meeting
• Have a senior member of the company respond to every review, good and bad - to ensure that the public know that
      the agent is listening to customer feedback
• Actively promote their allAgents profile in marketing activities and promotional materials in conjunction with allAgents
      'best Practice' procedures.
• Sign a declaration to operate within and maintain the scheme membership standards, best practice and terms and
      conditions
• Support and promote allAgents FREE products and services. In particular, they MUST advertise all properties on the
      FREE listings section of our AllAgents property portal

Review Verification

Transparent agent reviews are also subject to additional random verification checks by our Transparent Agent team.

The main objective is to ensure that consumers can clearly see the allAgents banner as soon as the agent's webpage loads up. The banner links back to the Agent's independent profile page on allAgents and therefore from this point the agent cannot influence what the public reads or "cherry pick" reviews that could form a misrepresentative bias.

One way only to Qualify as an 'Transparent Agent on allAgents.co.uk'

In some cases Agents may already be using references to allAgents reviews in their online and offline marketing activities, but they do not have our Transparent Agent Profile. Only where you see the 'allAgents Transparent Agent Profile', does it mean that the agent is promoting access to all the reviews about them on this site, good and bad. By having our banners and text link prominently on their website, these agents are ensuring that all existing and prospective customers have unrestricted access to their independent review page.

This offer is open to every company listed on our directory. This includes those agents that feel they may have not performed well in the past, and would like to use more recent feedback to help improve their customer service level. It is widely acknowledged that when businesses listen to and take onboard constructive feedback, they can use it as a platform from which to improve. Any improvements can easily be identified through future positive reviews.

We don’t believe that any reputable agent in the UK that cares about their customers and their customers' opinions, will have any issues with this scheme and we ask that they contact us or place the links on their site for us to review.

Together, we can all help improve the level of service experience within the property services sector and go some way to eradicate the rogue agents and individuals. The consumer can continue to submit fair and honest reviews on their agents or by seeking out and shortlisting transparent agents. allAgents will make reviews accessible to consumers and help agents promote them to prospective clients. If you are in contact with agents on our site that are not transparent, then please make them aware of it. The more people that recommend transparency, the more agents that will realise the sense and value of it.

The term 'allAgents Transparent Agent' does not imply that an Agent with our Transparent Profile is a better or poorer Agent than an Agent listed that does not have the Transparent Agent Profile.

If an agent declines the offer of joining the allAgents Transparent Agent award scheme, it does not imply, or make reference to that Agent, as not being transparent or being non-transparent in their internal operational, business, marketing or best practice policies.
