David Taylor is a liar and a thief - and if he doesn't like me saying that he can sue me.
He deceived us, owes us rent and has spent our tenants deposit.
I have his mobile number but it is always voice mail and despite it promising that he will call you back he never does.
We tracked him down through Companies House and went to the address he was using - it turned out he HAD been a tenant there and had run off without paying the rent.
As I say - a liar and a thief.

He failed to pay me my rent and kept my tenants deposits. I have since found he has done the same to others. It seems he has spent our money as debt collectors get nowhere and say he is insolvent. He also owed the Bracknell Ice Hockey team their wages as he sponsored them, they won their court case but have not got their money as per article in the Bracknell News.

He owes us a months rent and the increase from a months rent approx. £1000, not to mention the calls and time, flights etc we have paid for whilst abroad and trying to find and resolve the situation. As he initially just disappeared and stopped responding to email. We too recently found out that he'd gone bust and "sold" his property portfolio to Appollo - well we had written to him informing him that he had breached our agreement and was therefore no longer our Agent and informed he should remburse us and the tenant with the monies owed and deposit respectively as we would now manage the property ourselves - he seems to have somehow ignored this correspondence or has sold a portfolio that is not his to sell - hmm no surprise there.

David Taylor has dissapeared with my deposit in exceess of £1000 as well so I have instigated civil proceedings. He still owes my landlord money as well. He does not reply to calls or letters.
I can't believe this man has the gall to carry on living in the local area.

David Taylor owes me £625.00 and he owes my Ex tenants over £1000.00. He has made loads of promises to pay back this money, But seen nothing. I have been trying to contacting him for the past 2 weeks and his mobile and office number goes straight on to answer machine. The emails I have sent are are bouncing back.

David Taylor also owes my cleaning company in the region of £2000, for work carried out on pre-tenancy and end-of tenancy agreements. I would also like to add that i too have also had a call from apollo, and coincidentally from a 'Martin' for us to carry out another end of tenancy clean. Luckily the job was cancelled last minute, so i avoided further losses no doubt!!

I would hazard a guess that David Taylor and Martin Bristow are in the same scam together. Taking tenants deposits and somehow making interest on the total sum. ie in property or a high interest account somewhere. As far as these guys are concerned, tenants deposits are an easy catch, and landlords property is good bait...??

I have lost £330 deposit because of David Taylor. I was told he now operates as Apollo Property Managent. I have sent countless emails and a few letters. I have had a letter back in November 07 saying it would be returned. No it didnt. I then persisted, only to then receive a very informal/casual email from David himself saying he will return my deposit by around 11th December 2008. That was it. Nothing since. Ive spoken to local shop keepers and businesses and they have told me what they know.
I am glad most of you are finding out as much as you can and iam willing to join forces with anyone who wants to take claims as far as possible. I am willing to share any info.

I'm puzzled by this. What went wrong? When David Taylor started out a few years ago it looked as though he was going to provide a real challenge to the 'big boys' - Romans, Michael Hardy and Richard Worth. He seemed to take a lot of business on in the early days and expanded quickly. I instructed him to sell a house for me once (he never sold it in the end) and he seemed okay to me. Over valued the house but, then again, he only told me what I wanted to hear. How did it go so wrong for him?

David Taylor has put us into lot of trouble. My husband had to run round to collect our rent, which was always late. He owes us money. I would suggest people contact their local MP. He should not be trading.

I'm up for a legal fight with this guy David Taylor / Martin Bristow. He's got at huge deposit and 2 months rent of mine - near £4000. Didn't pursue small claims as thought it would be a lot of work and end in nothing. Contact me jarvisemma@hotmail.com as well for any news . Is his kid still at the school? Please anyone with details let us know.

Along with many others I am owed money by this lying man. He owes my tenants their deposits & me my rent. CID say the Crown Prosecution Service have reviewed all the facts & evidence & decided there will be no criminal prosecution! Mr Taylors conduct falls out of CID remit & into a civil one!!
Looks like we are all the fall guys for this devious man. As he has no assets it would be a waste of our own money to take a civil suit against him. I believe him to be in rental property in Winnersh Berks RG41 5JJ & his son is still at the local School.
Good Luck if this helps anyone. If anyone has any information please let me know! If we all stick together we may manage to get at least some of our money & save costs on solicitors if anyone thinks it is worth pursuing him.

They've still got my deposit of £975 which should have been repaid to me over six months ago. In common with others here, it looks like he's done a runner. I have got some details from Companies House but not sure what recourse I might have to getting my money back!

David Taylor has vanished with my deposit as well, nowhere to be seen and all offices are up for sale. I reported him to Trading Standards. If anyone knows of where he might be or a contact number it would be much appreciated.

I was a tenant and had a terrible experience. He treated us like dirt yet we were never late with rent and the property was kept immaculately. He lied to us throughout the nightmare and was totally oblivious to the terms of our contract.

David Taylor has vanished having not protected our 2.5k deposit - I have seen other reviews of people in the same situation. Perhaps we should club together to act on this. My landlord is looking for him also. My email is markmaxmaria at hotmail.com. Lets coordinate efforts and information!!

David Taylor owes me 5 months rent which my tenant paid him, plus he owes two lots of deposits taken from two tenants. I have tried contacting him but he does not answer his mobile, he has not contacted me or my current tenant and all his shops are shut. Localpaper says he vows to pay all by 7th Dec? I am obviously not the only one in this situation with this agent.
